Backstory

William Boone

• Boone's high school prom date was Jill Wago. His college girlfriend was Karen Ross, who gave him a dogged named Sasha that kept for 11 years.
• Boone was a consultant for the United Nations in New York City for less than a year.
• Boone wrote letters to his mother in which he told her "everything." His father returned the letters to Boone after his mother's death.

Dr. Julianne Belman

• There is a picture of a man on Dr. Belman’s desk; it is her real-life husband, the late Gene Roddenberry, the show’s creator.

The Taelons

• Da’an: “Music remains the one language which our two cultures, otherwise so alien, can share without translation.”
• A joint human-Companion project is the cold fusion retrofit of the Granite Canyon Nuclear Plant.

  • The valu viü[r]a, called the ‘tubes’ by humans, is a Taelon musical instrument.
• Technology
  
  • CVI: The CVI can be programmed with false memories that override the Implant’s true recollections. The Taelons have tested all of their Implants using this capability. Boone was the first to discover the tampering.
  • The Taelons can grow buildings, in this case a music conservatory, just as Sandoval insisted in "Miracle."
